Doors~

Today there was an event at my school called the Inspirational Door

We had to decorate our homeroom door in the theme of a movie that has an inspirational message

Like "Forrest Gump" or "Remember the Titans"

So I started thinking...what is a door?

Doors are an entryway, we go in and out of them, they are an especially important in houses where they are the first thing a visitor sees. Jesus Christ also references himself as a door, and if I am quoting correctly, "I am the Door, anybody enters into me he shall be saved" or something like that. So basically doors are the basic entry into things, even in shows like the "Twilight Zone" people are seen walking through the cosmos entering doors into other universes. Also doors in all parts of the world express a beginning or end, there is even a Roman God of Doors! His name was Janus, he was known for being able to see in two directions at once, also as he could also see the future and the past. When God was delivering Israel from Egypt, he had his prophet Moses tell the Hebrews to smother sheep’s blood on their door which symbolized their sacrifice so that the plague would skip over their home. In myths all over the world, doors are looked at as passages into the unknown... well I for one have never considered how much history doors have, but this is only a cigar snip of the facts, find them yourself!
